HOW TO MEASURE FOR YOUR Bespoke DOORS

Overlay or inset?
Establish if your doors are to be hung overlay or inset

Height & Width
Measure the height and width of each door in millimetres.
If applying the doors as overlay, take the measurement from the exterior of the cabinet carcass (do not include the height of the leg/plinth & measure the cabinet only.

If you are intending to hang the doors with inset hinges measure the cabinet using the interior width and height.

Each door is typically 5mm less than the overall height of the cabinet and 4mm less than the overall width.

How to calculate

Follow our example:

Exterior Cabinet Height: 2250mm-5mm=2245mm
Exterior Cabinet Width: 1000mm/2doors=500mm-4mm=496mm
The door size for this cabinet is 2 x 2245 x 496mm
